Alpha Domus

The Ham family emigrated from Holland in the early 1960s and established Awapuni Nurseries. In the 1980s, the family decided to do something to satisfy their passion for horticulture and their love for fine wine and Alpha Domus was created. The name Alpha Domus comes from the first names of the five founding members of the family: parents Anthonius and Leonarda and sons Paulus, Henrikus and Anthonius. Since their first wines were released to the market in 1996, the Ham family has been constantly producing stunning exclusively estate-grown wines.

What to drink with... Lobster Linguine.

Less wide than fettuccine, but wider than spaghetti, linguine means little tongues in English and is traditionally served with seafood or pesto.

A glass of bubbles will cut through the creaminess of the sauce and refresh the palate between mouthfuls. Alternatively, we have several different Italian grape varieties to offer or how about a Spanish Albariño, Chardonnay from California, Burgundy, Chile or South Africa, a blend from the Rhône, a fruity Viognier or that little known other white grape variety from Burgundy – Aligoté.
