What to drink with... sandwiches.
When pairing wine with your sandwich, there are several factors to take into account. Which bread? Soft white or chewy wholemeal and everything inbetween. The tastier the bread, the fuller bodied and flavoursome the wine. Condiments: ketchup, mustard, pickled onions? A little or a lot. If you’re smothering your sandwich with horseradish relish, stick to water and drink your wine as an apéritif. Filling: light, delicate egg mayonnaise or venison sausage? The stronger the filler, the bigger the wine.
