Salade Niçoise

Salade Niçoise
Chapel Down is one of the UK’s largest wineries, and winemaker Josh Donaghay-Spire produces a world-class range of sparkling and still wines. The sparkling wines are created using the Traditional Method, the same as Champagne, from fruit sourced from the South-East of England. They are the official supplier to No 10 Downing Street, the official sparkling wine of the Oxford & Cambridge Boat Races, the first English wine to be served at Ascot racecourse and the first English wine producer to feature in the London Stock Exchange's '1000 Companies to Inspire Britain' and the directory of 'Cool Brands™ 2016/17'. All rather impressive, and well deserved.

What to drink with... Salade Niçoise.

Memories of Promenade des Anglais, a hot Mediterranean day, and a lunch under a large parasol.

What better wine to match than a local rosé: Domaine de la Croix Elogé Rosé from St Tropez. This is a fruity blend with enough body to take on the mix of ingredients in the salad. As will the Château Maucoil Côtes du Rhône Village Rosé from further north. If you prefer a white, then try our white Rioja: Bodegas Las Orcas Decenio Blano, our Castello della Rosa Pinot Grigio, or one of our Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon blends.
