Chapel Down Pinot Noir
Precise flavours of soft red fruit and a smooth finish.
- Kent, United Kingdom
The fruit is sourced from thier Kit's Coty and Tenterden vineyards in Kent. The Pinot Noir fruit was fermented for 14 days in stainless steel tanks before 20% was transferred to old French oak for nine months maturation before being re-blended and bottled for release. Light in colour and low on tannin, this delicate red wine has clear and precise flavours of soft red fruit and a smooth finish. This wine displays typical Pinot Noir aromas of blackberry, plum and leather with an earthy undertone.
The low tannins in this wine make it an ideal accompaniment to duck and lamb dishes as well as richer game dishes. Enjoy this wine at its optimum between now and 2021. An ideal alternative to a lighter Pinot Noir from Alsace or Germany.
