I have put together a special Winter Mixed Case for you to expand your vinous horizons and keep your thirst for adventure satisfied from the comfort of your own home!
Frerejean Frères Premier Cru Brut, NV: "Wonderfully aromatic, expect baked apples, honey and almonds on the nose, moving to pear and brioche on the palate. With fine, persistent bubbles, this would wake an excellent aperitif or try serving with charcuterie." Stacey Smith "10 best grower champagnes for fizz with personality "
Domaine Nadine Ferrand Saint Veran, 2017: "1ha between Pouilly and Davayé. Sweet golden delicious apples on the nose and pastry notes. Palate has some marzipan, peach and salted butter, a nice crunchy green finish." Tom Harrow, Wine Guru
Celler Alimara Pinzellada Negre, 2016: It's deep in colour and abundant on the nose with black fruits, vanilla and toffee (there's about 10% new oak, with the rest being old). The taste continues the black fruit theme, with a smooth, rich palate and a slightly sweet fruit finish which definitely shows the impact of the Spanish sun.
La Giaretta Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore, 2017: The two-year-long ageing process and the subsequent refinement in bottle (at least five/six months) confer a pleasant roundness and tertiary scents on the wine. Perfect for main courses with strong flavour and any kind of cold cuts
Prats and Symington Post Scriptum, 2018: Prats & Symington was founded in 1999 as a joint venture between the well known Bordeaux winemaker, Bruno Prats and the Symington family. Deep dark ruby colour. Attractive aromas of ripe prune and black cherry. Very full on the palate denoting great structure. Elegant tannins leaving a fresh and long tasting finish.
Agricola Punica Barrua, 2015: "I love the freshness and sensibility here with pine needles, violets, citrus and lavender. Medium-bodied with a lovely herbal streak, firm yet silky tannins and a generous yet taut finish. A little hot, though. Drink now or hold." 92 pts, James Suckling
