Château de Fieuzal
Château de Fieuzal is located south of the city of Bordeaux, in the commune of Léognan. Pope Léon XIII in Bordeaux liked it too, and for a period of time part of the produce ended up in the Vatican’s cellars. Lochlann Quinn, the chairman of Allied Irish Banks bought the chateau in 2001. The 48 hectare vineyard has 39 hectares of red vines (60% Cabernet Sauvignon with 33% Merlot, 4.5% Cabernet Franc and 2.5% Petit Verdot) and 9 hectares of white with equal amounts of Sémillon and Sauvignon blanc.
