Château du Rouët

Château du Rouët
This five generation family Chateau is found at the foot of the the Rouet montain range in the heart of Provence. The same wind - the Mistral - that cools the vines in the hot summer months is the same wind that’s stoked the grerat fire in 1927 that tore through the mountains and threatened to destory the Chateau, once the hunting lodge of the Marquis de V before he faced the revolutionary guillotine. To protect from a future fire threat vines were grown as a barrier to the Chateau in the fire trenches and to produce wine for the estate, which since the Second War has been sold across Europe to great applause.
