In Langoiran on the banks of the Garonne, Château Gourran sits about 17 miles south east of the town of Bordeaux, within the Cadillac Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. The château dates back to 1773 and wine production started here in the mid 19th century. The estate is now Danish owned and the Anderson family has made substantial investments in updating the estate. In fact, the production building was completely renovated in 2007, establishing a modern fermentation room with steel tanks. Château Gourran’s wines have won several awards.
