Château Relais de la Poste
The Château Relais de la Poste is named after a former postal relay station built in 1758. In July 1808, during the war, Napoleon stopped to this hostel on his way to Paris. The site was purchased by the Dauga family in 1985. The owner, winemaker and former rugby player, Olivier Dauga, learnt from his experience in Australia and challenges some of the more traditional Bordeaux norms. He kick-started Bordeaux varietals and reinvented the region’s lesser known grapes. He is loved by wine critics. A critic even said that his wine has all characters that we expect from a good bottle of Bordeaux.
