Chateau Suduiraut is located close to Chateau d’Yquem and its sloping hillsides is made up of gravel, sand, limestone and clay soils. Since it was sold to the AXA insurance in 1992, the Chateau has been lavished with attention and the wines have greatly benefited from the investment. The region of Sauternes in general had a tough year in 2018; the very warm and very long summer limited the growth of the all-important “noble rot” but there were exceptions and Chateau Suduiraut was one of them. The team worked tirelessly over the growing season and they managed a small 6hl/ha harvest with a 125 g/l of residual sugar, which is less than usual.

It’s extremely rich, dark and concentrated – in keeping with its tiny yields (5hl/ha in 2018, of which 40% went into the grand vin) - with attractive bitter orange flavours that cleverly work to give tension where otherwise the low acidity might lose tension. 125g/l residual sugar. Standard Delivery takes 2-3 working days and costs £7.50 for orders under £75. Orders over £75 are subject to FREE Standard Delivery. Standard and Express Delivery is available for most mainland UK postcodes as listed in our T&Cs. Express Delivery costs £12.50. Express delivery orders over £75 are £5.
For Express Delivery (next working day) orders need to be placed before 1pm. Orders placed after 1pm will be received after two business days. Orders placed for next day delivery after 1pm on a Friday and before 1pm on a Monday will be delivered on Tuesday. Orders placed on a Bank Holiday will be similarly processed the day after the Bank Holiday and delivered the following day.
Same Day Deliverycosts £15. This option is available to most London postcodes as listed in our T&Cs, if ordered by 11am Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). If ordered after 11am, you will receive your order on the next working day. We may be able to organise a special courier for you, so please call or email us if you have special requests. What a great way to get that wine to your office or home for the evening!
Our Club Offers may take longer to ship, as we collect all of our members’ orders together before ordering them from the winemaker. The expected delivery timelines for each product should be specified on the product page. Otherwise, please contact us for the information.
