Château La Yotte Founding Circle

One of the things we are most proud of is our track record of finding producers before the world catches up. We introduced San Leonardo to The Wall Street Journal and were early advocates of Valdicava and Castello di Romitorio in Montalcino ahead of the critical acclaim that sees them now rightly regarded as among Italy's finest estates… We discovered Jane Eyre back in 2015 and brought her wines to the UK, long before she received the international acclaim (and Negociant of the Year) she so richly deserves, and were the first in London to work with now three time consecutive IWC Winemaker of the Year Edoaurd Delaunay after the maison’s renaissance in 2017.

With Château La Yotte, we think we've found another.

Gustaf Lindskog and his family came to Bordeaux from Sweden in 2019, looking for a new home and a new challenge. They found a beautiful château with a derelict vineyard on the limestone slopes of Loupiac with something not encountered elsewhere in the region: Land with a completely clean chemical history. Not a single pesticide, herbicide or insecticide has ever touched this soil. Their family drinks from the well on the property. I have visited La Yotte several times and watched the developments in the vineyard with excitement. Recently Gustaf came to our office to taste with us the first vintages - 2023 and 2024. We have been talking about it ever since. This is, in our view, one of the most exciting new producers in Bordeaux - and we think you should get in early.

The numbers tell part of the story. Yields of 10–15 hectolitres per hectare — one third of the Bordeaux regional average, below the grands crus. Polyphenol concentration exceeding First Growth levels every vintage since their first commercial release.
