Its initial linear focus broadens into a full, textured mid-palate, finishing with impressive length. The increasing use of clayver is not a gimmick here; it’s a clear stylistic choice aimed at preserving freshness in a warming climate. The wines are expressive, finely textured and energetic, especially impressive given the conditions. In a vintage where some light-touch producers struggled to find flavour, Jane’s wines retain purity, energy, and real Pinot character. Barrel ageing has played a quiet but crucial role, rounding edges and knitting everything together without obscuring the transparency she prizes.
