Aurelien Verdet, born in 1981, is a young, passionate and committed winemaker. His father, Alain Verdet, was a pioneer of organic viticulture in Burgundy back in the early 1970’s. Since his retirement in 2005, Aurélien has carried on the family business and is committed to continuing his father’s tradition of organic farming. His attention to detail and his capability for making dense, richly flavoured, though beautifully balanced red wines far supersedes his age. Today, he has become one of the brightest young winemakers in Burgundy.
