Domaine de Courcel

Domaine de Courcel

Alongside de Montille’s “Rugien-Bas” and Comte Armand’s “Clos des Epeneaux”, Yves Confuron at Domaine de Courcel makes indisputably the greatest wines of Pommard.

Their famous monopole, “Clos des Epenots” is an east-facing 4.89 ha site just north of the village, rich in clay and limestone rocks, and its vines are at least 60 years old. The vines yield gorgeously rich, complex yet sensuous wines which can be deceptively accessible early but mature impressively.
