Celine Nodin and Laurent Fayolle's ten-hectare domain is located in the heart of the village of Gervans, on the left bank of the Rhône. They have managed the domain since 2002, when the now six-generation estate was divided by their father and uncle. The vineyard is on the hillsides in the north of the appellation and is composed of old vines: 40 years on average, and mainly in mass selection for a greater diversity. Celine and Laurent are committed to a sustainable production; in the vineyard by minimal use of herbicides and only organic fertiliser, and in the cellar by implementation of techniques limiting water consumption and careful treatment of wastewater.

What to drink with... mature Cheddar.

Cheddar cheese is made all over the world as the poor old Somerset village wasn’t able to get a protected designation of origin for its cheese.

A Chardonnay will really hit the spot whether it’s from Burgundy or Chile or Champagne – the bubbles will cleanse your palate between mouthfuls. If you fancy something smooooth, then try our Chilean Merlot, our Italian pseudo Amarone, Nebbiolo or Villa Gresti, our claret from St Emilion. Stronger alternatives would be our Malvasia, Sherry or even Vodka.
