Domaine de la Charmoise
“I would never produce wines that I don’t like!” said Henry Marionnet, whose family has owned the estate since the mid 19th century and unlike so many of their counterparts in France, they kept control throughout the 20th century. Their vineyards were completely replanted and enlarged between 1967 and 1978. Henry Marionnet is probably the most driven winemaker you could hope to meet. He detests using artificial treatments during wine production and sets up strict rules to produce wines in the most natural way as one possibly can. Le Nouvel Observateur praises he is the living proof of a winemaker who can seduce consumers without compromising his faith and principles.
