The Domaine Ponsot is located in the village of Rully and was created by Lucien Ponsot in 1954. His grandson, Jean-Baptiste Ponsot took over the land, just at the age of 20. Jean-Baptiste is a young talented winemaker who has produced award-winning vintages. According to him, the quality of his wines are a direct result of his careful work in the vineyards, which also reflects his philosophy that wine is made in the vineyards and not in the winery. His white wines have a very high ranking in the Guide Hachette - the most popular French wine review book. And his red wines are normally sold out before the grapes are even harvested because the quantity is very limited.
