Chicken Chasseur

Chicken Chasseur
The wine-making business was established by Paul Lebreuil in 1935 when he purchased two hectares of vines in Savigny-les-Beaune. His son, Pierre, enlarged the estate to seven hectares. Jean-Baptiste, the third-generation winemaker, joined his father in 1999 after apprenticeships in Bordeaux and Australia, and a degree from the Lycée Viticole in Beaune. With his knowledge and experience, he quickly made technical improvements in the cellars to ensure perfect cellar hygiene. The Lebreuil family aims to produce vividly fruity Savigny-les-Beaune wines with great finesse and soft tannins. The estate was certified “environmentally-friendly” in December 2008.

What to drink with... Chicken Chasseur.

Chicken Chasseur is a warming, hearty meal and ideal for the slow cooker. Imagine walking through the front door to that wonderful aroma, knowing dinner can be on the table in five minutes. The succulence of this dish warms towards a red wine.

Any tannins in the wine will dry some of the liquid in your mouth. A persistent flavour needs a long-lasting wine too. New World or Old World – the choice is yours.
