Domaine Paul Pillot
At the second half of the nineteenth century, Thierry’s Great Grandfather, Jean-Baptiste Pillot, decided to concentrate on viticulture. After the first world war his two sons, Alphonse and Henri, took over the domaine and continued to accrue vineyards. They were succeeded by Henri's son Paul, who really extended the holdings of the domaine and bought many of the vineyards for which the domaine is famous for now, such as Caillerets and Grandes Ruchottes. Thierry joined his father in 1999 as did his sister, Christelle four years later. He has been running the domaine now for about ten years, and his contagious enthusiasm and energy for his vineyards and his wines is incredible.
