Whilst the family history goes way back, it was only in 2005 that these gifted & talented winemakers established Donnachiara in Southern Italy's Avellino. Since then they have become one of the most important growers in the region, receiving acclaim from several major critics, scores you would normally find only in Piemonte or Tuscany, and winning the hearts of wine lovers in Italy and beyond.

Donnachiara 'Aletheia' Greco di Tufo Riserva, 2018: "Honeysuckle, heather honey, quince paste, lemon sherbet. Wild rosemary, as opens a hint of French country butter appears. Waxed lemons, fresh fig, tight and taut, bristles with energy, acidity is well judged, gives precision and length to the grapefruit, ripe melon and citrus and fruit. Gorgeous." Tom Harrow, Wine Guru

Donnachiara Aglianico Campania IGT, 2019: "Layers of ripe plums, orange peel, sweet tobacco and licorice on the nose. Smoke, ash, some tar and cedar, too. It’s full-bodied with firm but smooth tannins. More citrus-peel, dried-fruit and spice notes continue to a rounded, lightly bitter finish. Drink from 2022." 93 pts, James Suckling

Donnachiara Empatia Fiano di Avellino, 2019: "Lovely nose of mango, mangosteen, lime blossom and fresh sage. It’s full-bodied with excellent fruit intensity and tangy acidity. Very concentrated. Racy and energetic. White pepper notes, too. Drink or hold." 94 pts, James Suckling
