San Leonardo and Manincor Dinner

On Wednesday 10th July we will be hosting a stand-out Italian tasting dinner with two iconic producers from Alto-Adige:  San Leonardo and Manincor.

Marchese Anselmo Guerrieri Gonzaga from San Leonardo and Count Michael Goess-Enzenberg from Manincor will guide you through their wines, over dinner in the private room at Noizé Restaurant, Fitzrovia.

San Leonardo

We have been huge fans of these wines for many years and are increasingly not alone!  Described by The Wine Advocate’s Monica Larner as “…one of the great wines of Italy… Sassicaia and San Leonardo seem like brothers separated in childhood”, and by Jancis Robinson as being “of astoundingly consistent quality… like the most refined red bordeaux imaginable”.   The 2014 (like the 2013 previously) was accoladed by aggregate score across Italy’s major wine periodicals as the country’s top-rated release (jointly with Sassicaia). We are delighted to have helped build such a loyal fan base for these wines in the UK.

Manincor

This stunningly situated estate in Kaltern, with its aesthetically striking modern winery, has been in the hands of the Goess-Enzenberg family since 1662.  One of the pioneers of sustainable viticulture and bio-dynamism in the region, the wines have an astonishing purity, energy and focus.  Whilst San Leonardo enjoys favourable comparison to top claret, Manicor is bound to delight lovers of elegant, textured Burgundy, white and red.

We will be tasting:

San Leonardo Vette 2018

Manincor Sophie Chardonnay 2017

Manincor Pinot Nero Mason 2017

Manincor Pinot Nero Mason di Mason 2016

San Leonardo 2014

San Leonardo 2010

San Leonardo 2007

Petit Manincor 2016 (375ml)

San Leonardo Grappa

Menu

Starter: Crab ravioli in a crab bisque
