Grace Bridge Pinot Noir

California, USA

Light Red

Pinot Noir, Syrah

California has spent a lot of time focusing on the very cheap and the high-end (often ultra-high-end), while the £10-£20 bracket has been neglected. We have recently seen, particularly in the export market, much greater focus on this area and this is a prime example. A great everyday Cali Pinot Noir with real depth and character that won’t break the bank. Red fruit, dark fruit a vein of spice and a plump mid palate and finish helped by the smallest drops of Syrah.

Look out for the Brownstone Winery wines on the list as well.

The Grace Bridge will be starring at our Italy Vs USA tasting. View more.

"There's something of a fashion to find the most rare and unusual wine styles these days - the more obscure and arcane, the better. But forget Nascetta from Langhe or Humagne from the Valais, the most rare wine in the world is good, proper Pinot Noir for under £15 a bottle - that's the real holy grail.

I can think of perhaps three bottles in the entire world that qualify and at £12 per bottle, Grace Bridge is most certainly one of them." Richard Hemming, MW

We’re based in Lodi and the grapes for the Grace Bridge are sourced in Monterey county. Subtle raspberry aromas and ripe cherry flavours make this ideal before meals and with roasted foods.

Tasted alongside a plethora of Californian Pinots from South to North, this wine stood out for its ripe red fruit core and its refreshing acidity and surprisingly affordable price tag. This is a wine to stock up on for every eventuality, quiet night in, dinner party, or when I come round for a drink.

Such an enjoyable and fruit-forward Pinot! They named this wine for the iconic Grace Bridge that spanned the Cooper River near Charleston, South Carolina and harkens back to the days when families and friends hadmore opportunities to enjoy meals together, so make time today and
“take the bridge” to good taste with this easy-drinking California Pinot. This medium bodied red combines cool climate Pinot Noir and Syrah and has delicate cherry and raspberry flavors.

I am a big fan of Californian Pinot when the quality is good and the price is not inflated!
This has to be the best value Pinot I have tasted from this part of the world and I have had a few over the years.
A must try for any Pinot fans. Great Summer drinking slightly chilled too!

Brownstone Winery

In architecture, “brownstone” is a popular building material which housed many Italian families in the northeast of the USA. In the world of wine, it represents the finest wine-making tradition travelling from Italy via New York. Settled in the Lodi area of California in the early 20th century, the Brownstone Winery has kept its’ tradition of working hand in hand to ensure its’ wine develops smooth, fruit forward flavours and aromas.
