Lavradores de Feitoria Douro Branco

Douro white with more than a touch of Burgundy style
- Sabrosa, Douro, Portugal
Feitoria is an old Portuguese word for winery and the Lavradores operation is a group of 15 farmers from across the Douro pooling resources to make some really rather impressive wines centrally in Sabrosa under the leadership of winemaker Paolo Ruao. Their aim is to create quality wines at a refreshingly low price point and they have succeeded! The grapes come from our family vineyards planted along the Douro valley that have an average age of 25 to 30 years, and of which they select the higher altitude vines.
Very fresh and aromatic, with a vibrant nose of fresh citrus, apricot and pineapple. A classic Douro white with good minerality supported by flavours of ripe orchard and stone fruits. Superb value!
