This champagne house was founded in 1878 in Avize, in the Côtes des Blancs area of Champagne. Comprising of just 6 hectares, 60% of which is within Grand Cru terroirs and 40% in Premier Cru terroirs. Leclaire-Thiéfaine only uses grapes grown on their own domain to make their champagnes. The wines are matured in bottle in chalk caves for at least three years before release. The house characteristics are their fine chain of bubbles and vivacious effervescence. Leclaire-Thiéfaine also produces a rosé Champagne.
