Known as the "Art Series", Leeuwin has taken a leaf out of Mouton Rothschild's book and has an artist design a new label for each vintage. The comparison is more than skin deep however… tasted blind, the Cabernet is more Bordelais than Barossa – showing the pure, cool but deep fruit of Margaret River. Meanwhile the Chardonnay is indubitably one of the greatest in the Southern Hempishere!
We've got their Chardonnay and Shiraz (a more recent addition to the portfolio) 2018, an absolutely stellar vintage for the region and, a year behind, the Cabernet 2017. Margaret River is known for its more temperate climate and the vein of crushed stone minerality that underpins the wines which have more in common with Burgundy, Bordeaux and the Rhone than they do with Barossa. These wines are developing a deserved cult following but this is a great opportunity to start ensuring you receive allocations to begin your collection.
