Post-January Re-winelutions: Red Cabbage Salad Pairings

This is it. The first month of the year has come to an end (already). It’s a bittersweet feeling here; we’re eleven months closer to Christmas (yes yes, bottom of the barrel, we know) but we’re filled with dread from the realisation that we haven’t even ticked one thing off our NY resolutions list.

It is no surprise that three out of ten of Time Magazine's most commonly broken New Years Resolutions are:

  • Healthy Eating

  • Saving Money

  • Spending Quality Time With Loved Ones

In an attempt to tick at least these three off your list, here is the first of our three-part Re-winelutions Series of heaven-sent food and wine pairings that are healthy, save you money compare to restaurant meals, and allow you to spend more time with friends and family. Triple whammy!
Our first recommendation for a healthy homemade meal that even your fussiest friend will devour?

Winter Slaw with Chilli Salmon

Follow Honest Grapes's board Post-January Re-winelutions: Red Cabbage Salad Pairings on Pinterest.
We've put together a Pinterest board featuring some of our favourite recipes. What each recipe has in common is that the Winter Slaw is the labour of love. Imagine the sweetness from the dates and oranges, the freshness from the pomegranates and parsley and the crunchiness of the red cabbage and kale with a delicious fillet of sweet chilli salmon.
Now imagine it with our recommendation of A'Puddara Etna Bianco or Vermentino di Gallura Superiore.
We have chosen this selection because they are heavy whites that cut through the oiliness of the salmon and their minerality balances the crispiness from the red cabbage.
