Wine Wisdom - New Crowdsourced Bordeaux

We recently presented you with two Bordeaux wines available on our shop that showed very well at our recent Bordeaux Panel tasting. This week, it's time for us to unveil the two new ones that were the real show stoppers at the same event. We are crowd sourcing these wines to bring them to the UK next month!

Premium wine: trebiac_2012_s
Chateau Trebiac Rouge, 2012
Deep Garnet in colour with wild dark berries and currants on th nose. The palate has a great depth of fruits both red and black with underlying notes of tobacco and dark chocolate. Classic Graves style, rich and brooding with a long finish.

Les Archers de Labatut, 2015
Aromas of citrus fruits, waxy lemons, lime and grapefruit with green pepper and grassy notes, lead to a zesty delicate palate showing off more of the same characteristics with a persistent finish. A perfect match with shellfish and a simply grilled white fish.
 
 
 
P.S. Both these wines are being crowdfunded with the Trebiac arriving in October and the Labatut in November.


Recipe:
Perfect food pairing with the Trebiac, simply a roast rib of beef with all the trimmings.
