Wine Wisdom - Thanksgiving Special

With Thanksgiving being this Thursday, let our own resident American Claire, take you through her picks for Thanksgiving dinner. These wines are also perfect for Christmas dinner!
Wine Wisdom:
Wines of the Week:

Art & Science Armstrong Pinot Noir, 2014
Some real fruit cake spice, marzipan and a whiff of incense on the nose. This is a very Christmas-perfumed Pinot Noir with a juicy but herbal palate that cuts between the lean, angular and savoury style of Burgundy.

Red Car Sonoma Coast Chardonnay, 2012
Restrained, elegant, Burgundian in approach but proudly regional in delivery. Well balanced, fresh, judicious use of oak supports ripe but nuanced orchard fruits with some nutmeg, pie crust and a whisper of vanilla pod.

Brownstone Winery Cabernet Sauvignon, 2013
Generous cassis fruit and some warming clove spice but rich tannins and juicy acidity to keep the flavours in bounds. This wine offers an awful lot more for the price without going over the top than many Cabs that are a lot more expensive.
Don't forget, our German Christmas Market this Friday!
