Curto is a traditional family-run winery now on its third generation and has been producing some cracking wines, by paying a lot of attention to the winemaking and having great respect for tradition.
"Nice poise and succulence, floral, red berries, balsamic notes, chalky tannins."
Tom Harrow, Wine Guru
"When young it is bright garnet red, with aging it acquires orange reflections. Intense, ethereal, spicy with hints of rosehip petals, licorice, leather and truffle. This wine is warm, austere, full, robust and at the same time velvety and elegant. When young it is appreciated for its freshness even if with some angularity, with the refinement the wine softens and develops the warmer and spicy tertiary sensations."

What the critics say:
16.5/20Jancis Robinson
"La Morra. Tasted blind. Mid ruby with orange tinges. Brooding nose with underlying richness of fruit and top notes of sweet spice. Lots of ripe cherry fruit perfectly balanced by tangy acidity. Bags of grainy tannins and proper depth on the finish. You could be tempted to drink this now, but there is more to come."
