Burgundy Premier Cru Case

A mixed case showcasing some of the region’s premier wines. From Volnay to Gevrey-Chambertin, the case includes some of Burgundy’s most vaunted producers such as Domaine de Montille, Domaine Drouhin-Laroze and rising star Éric Boigelot, neighbour to Coche Dury. This case represents some of the finest wines in our cellar.

Chablis Premier Cru 'Fourchaumes', Domaine de Montille, 2022
A light bouquet of lemon verbena and beeswax, the palate has plenty of freshness and verve, with a hint of new oak making this Chablis exquisitely crisp and immensely tasty.
 
Mercurey Blanc Premier Cru, Les Veleys, Domaine Francois Raquillet, 2022
A floral and elegant nose comprised of citrus confit, acacia blossom and a hint of toast. Plenty of minerality on the palate, yet still maintaining a perfect balance between acidity and structure, this is an exceptional wine from one of Burgundy's rising stars. 
 
Volnay Premier Cru Santenots, Domaine Éric Boigelot, 2019
Full of the perfumed elegance and supple, silken red fruits often associated with Volnay, it has an appealing brightness and vivacity which is a delight to drink. 
 
Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru 'Sous Frétille', Domaine Clos de la Chapelle, 2022
Crunchy green pears, white pepper, camomile, a touch of cereal crops. Spicy acids drive grapefruit and orchard fruits, with the merest hint of just ripe peach, extends with saline definition, this shows good drive and tension from start to finish.
 
Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru, Les Pruliers, Edouard Delaunay, 2019
Blueberry, cranberry and ripe red cherry notes with hints of spiced dry herbs. An abundantly silky and supple palate full of red fruits, garrigue and sweet spice. A benchmark Nuits-Saint-Georges Premier Cru which proves that the best of the village can now go toe toe with Vosne and Gevrey.
 
Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru 'Au Closeau', Domaine Drouhin-Laroze, 2021
Juicy, succulent red and black fruit pairing with well-balanced acidity, ensuring freshness and a long, persistent finish. The delicacy of the aromas and the abundant fruit on the finish make this a very charming wine.
