Hot on the heels of the latest MV19 from Henri Giraud is the release of Argonne 2016, sporting a very impressive 99 points from James Suckling.

As always, this is Pinot led with 90% of the blend, the remaining 10% being Chardonnay and fermented in oak from the nearby Argonne forest. Clearly they’ve clearly knocked it out of the park yet again and given only 5,000 bottles are made on average, this is a wine you want to secure sooner rather than later.

"This is a powerful but elegant wine with a wealth of citrus-fruit freshness, blood orange and grapefruit, as well as toast, dried citrus blossom, white lavender, clove, cardamom and spices. Tense and driven, with so much mineral freshness and focus. Very tight bead of bubbles. Endless finish. This will age incredibly well, but you are want to drink it right away."
