The Lieutenant de Sigalas is the second wine of the esteemed Chateau Sigalas Rabaud down in the southern appellation of Sauternes in Bordeaux.
The Sigalas family have been making wine at Château Sigalas Rabaud since 1863, where their fourteen hectares makes them the smallest premier cru classé Sauternes estates 85% Semillon and 15% Sauvignon provide a beautifully floral, lively and clean style of pudding wine. At almost 10years of age, this is still showing beautiful floral notes of acacia honey as well as orange blossom with nectarine and candied apple and an oily texture that coats the palate. This is delicate but does the job perfectly.
