Maison Albert Bichot has been passed down for 6 generations since 1831 and today it manages individual Domaines rather than housing all sites under one property.
Domaine Long-Depaquit in Chablis, Domaine du Pavillon is the organic project in Pommard and the jewel in the crown Domaine du Clos Frantin in NSG make up the main three out of six. Having supported the team for a number of vintages we have been able to acquire decent allocations across all three and are thrilled to be able to offer their top wines.
"From 30-40 year old vines, 30% whole bunch fermentation in 2019 and aged in 35% new oak, for a village level wine this punches impressively at the very upper boundary of its class. Silk-clad strawberries, and plenty of them stuffed under the chemise, with a dark earth and lichen covered stone note. Sweet, succulent raspberry lozenge palate, juicy textured tannins and a more than middling salty finish, v good for village. Not as voluminous as 2015 but better focus and similar concentration - I bought mags of 15 and will do again with 19 – as it really over delivers for the price."

What the critics say:
"From Damaudes and Basses Maizieres, so up and down the slope. Vibrant purple, lots of energy here, deep and concentrated fruit, this has the hedonistic qualities of a very fine Vosne with a little bit of sucrosity behind, ripe redcurrant and cherry, very persistent."
