This wine is offered En Primeur, with an est. delivery in late 2024/early 2025.

2022 was Guillaume’s second year farming organically, and a little less challenging than 2021. He harvested on 1st September keen to ensure his wines had moderate acidity and balanced alcohol, (pH is 3.5 and ABVs generally around 12.5%) giving the supple, digestible style he advocates.

“From 50 year old vines. Clean, fresh nose, with herbal hints and brambly red berries, with a note of toast crumbs. Very juicy, with bright, crunchy raspberry fruit on the attack, this is clean, direct and vibrant, and the tannins are nicely covered to give more sophistication than you often find from Fixin."
Tom Harrow, Head Wine Guru

What the critics say:

89-91/100Allen Meadows, Burghound

"Notably fresh and cooler aromas of pretty plum, dark cherry and a mix of floral scents lead to beautifully textured and vibrant medium-bodied flavors that exude an obvious bead of minerality on the lingering, balanced and youthfully austere finale that is also shaped by relatively fine-grained tannins. Lovely and worth checking out. 'Outstanding'"

88-90/100Neal Martin, Vinous

"The 2022 Fixin La Place is aged in around 30% new oak. This has a lovely bouquet, very pure with blueberry and light iodine scents, and fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins, fresh mulberry and raspberry to the fore with a sense of roundness and sufficient acidity on the finish. Enjoy this over 4-6 years."
