Originally a skilled stonemason and wheelwright from German Silesia, he embarked on a remarkable journey and planted his first vineyards in the enchanting Eden Valley. This exceptional wine is crafted from Shiraz vines that were planted in 1968 by Cyril Henschke, reaching an altitude of 500 meters above sea level. The Wheelwright 2018 underwent a meticulous 18-month aging process in oak hogsheads, carefully composed of 21% new barrels and 79% seasoned ones, with a blend of 65% French and 35% American oak. This exquisite attention to detail and tradition encapsulates the essence of The Wheelwright, presenting a wine of exceptional quality and artistry.
