With an extensive portfolio, there is a wine to suit all tastes and budgets from Bichot, each showing the precision, typicity, and generosity of fruit expected of their level. Over the last few years, we have seen the maison wines ascend to the same level of quality as those of its individual domaines (so much so that the Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru 'Les Amoureuses' is fast becoming the most highly regarded cuvée in the whole range).

Renowned wine critic Neal Martin comments that Albert Bichot can make "really quite delicious, complex wines that often surprise people in blind tastings when not swayed by the label." The 2022s are no exception and the Bichot portfolio is once again on cracking form.

Features as one of the Top 15 Négociants & Cooperatives in Tim Atkin's Burgundy 2022 Special Report.

What the critics say:

94/100Charles Curtis MW, Decanter

"Very 'Côte de Nuits' in style, this lovely wine features a rich blackberry fruit aroma with hints of earth and spice. The texture is rich and dense, with a pleasant persistence to the finish. The grapes are purchased from a large plot down-slope from the Clos des Lambrays and Clos de Tart on the other side of town in the premier cru. Some producers spell this climat Les Sorbès. The grapes are partially destemmed and gently fermented before ageing in cask (one-third new)."

94/100Christy Canterbury MW, Tim Atkin

"This starts with a suspicion of pleasant reduction followed by cherry compote, cassis and savory spice. A touch of balsamic laces through the palate, too. The mild tannins are nicely corraled by brisk acidity, keeping this medium-bodied wine on an even keel. There is no evident new oak here."
