This wine is offered En Primeur, with an est. delivery in late 2024/early 2025.

2022 was Guillaume’s second year farming organically, and a little less challenging than 2021. He harvested on 1st September keen to ensure his wines had moderate acidity and balanced alcohol, (pH is 3.5 and ABVs generally around 12.5%) giving the supple, digestible style he advocates.

“On the north side of the village, towards Vosne, this is one of the most westerly, elevated vineyards and tends to produce cooler, more piquant fruit.
Blueberry, red plums, iodene, cacao nibs, and a whiff of woodsmoke and cedar on the nose. The palate is compact and intense, but develops in more linear fashion with a note of dried porcini around dried cranberry fruit, driven by crunchy stony tannins.”
Tom Harrow, Head Wine Guru

What the critics say:

92-94/100Neal Martin, Vinous

"The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Argillats 1er Cru has a fresh and delineated bouquet, a mixture of red and black fruit, pressed white flowers and truffle. The palate is well balanced with sappy red fruit, fine tannins, nicely focused with impressive tension and mineralité on the finish. It ranks as one of Guillaume Tardy's best cuvées this year. "
