From the protégée of Nady Foucault of Domaine Clos Rougeard, the wines of Guiberteau are incredible wines packed full of flavour and more than a hint of Clos Rougeard. In Romain's own words, "An internship with Clos Rougeard is an internship for life".

Following his return to the family domaine in 1996 he took full control (it had been leased for some 20 years previous). Not only had he learnt from the greatest, he also shares some terroir with them, owning a good proportion of the vineyards of Brézé – regarded by many as the very finest location to grow Chenin in the whole of France.
