Sierra Cantabria, Rioja Reserva, 2017

Sierra Cantabria, Rioja Reserva showcases a vibrant ruby hue and an enticing bouquet of dark berries, ripe cherry, and subtle oak-spiced aromas. On the palate, it is lush and full-bodied, offering flavours of blackberry and blueberry complemented by hints of coconut and warming spice. The wine’s structure is supported by fine, dusty tannins, leading to a long, spicy finish with a lingering echo of coconut.

Crafted from carefully selected Tempranillo grapes from the San Vicente de la Sonsierra vineyard, this Rioja Reserva undergoes 18 months of aging in a mix of French and American oak barrels. Twenty percent of the barrels are new, while the remainder are second and third fill, imparting complexity without overwhelming the wine's fruit-forward character.
