Rooiberg Winery is situated in the picturesque Breede River Valley, and nestled below the clock peaks of the Langeberg range. Established in 1964, it now has 34 members contributing from individually owned farms around the cellar. A team of motivated winemakers processes the grapes in a modern, technologically advanced wine-cellar, with the focus and emphasis on producing quality wines. Rooiberg Winery has earned impressive awards during the years and was nominated as the South African Champion Co-operative Wine-cellar in 1978, 1982, 1983, 1984 and 1986. Since the introduction of bottled wine shows in South Africa, Rooiberg has had the distinction of being the top achiever in the Robertson area, with several double gold and gold awards.
