Clemens always manages to coax magic out of the Marienburg hill and the last three years have been no exception. Here we offer the first dry and sweet releases of 2019, the longer lees-aged top crus from 2018 and two freshly released, two-year lease aged reserve crus. Take your pick, it’s a veritable feast.
"The 2019 Marienburg Raffes is very complex, refined and elegant on the open and intense nose that indicates perfectly ripe, dense and concentrated fruit with a fascinating flintiness of crushed rocks and salt. Round and lush on the palate, this is another full-bodied and intense yet pure and refined, enormously complex and elegant Riesling with enormous power, elegance and finesse. Highly impressive, the opulence of this terroir comes along with so much purity, finesse and balance and gives this unique umami texture in the sharp and precise world of Clemens Busch. "The 2019er Marienburg Raffes, as it is referred to on the main part of the label, is a just off-dry wine (with 10 g/l of residual sugar) fermented spontaneously in traditional oak casks from late-harvested fruit in a prime terraced part of the grey-slated Falkenlay sector and which underwent an extended maturation on its lees. It offers a superbly complex nose made of pear, herbs, bergamot, whipped cream, chalky minerals, white flowers, and wet stone. The wine is subtly dry-tasting (and not fully off-dry) on the intense and delicately ample yet zesty palate and leaves a superb feel of fresh orchard fruits, wet stone, whipped cream, and herbs in the long and incredibly persistent finish. If you’d like more than the number shown, or it’s shown as ‘Out of Stock’ / ‘Email to order’, just call us or drop us an email to confirm your order and delivery schedule, as our winemakers send us fresh stocks frequently.
'Express Delivery' (Free Next Day Delivery) is available for orders over £75 placed before 1pm Monday to Thursday. Orders over £75 but placed after 1pm will still benefit from 'Fast & Free Delivery', and will revert to an estimated 1-3 working days. For orders under £75, 'Fast Delivery' is charged at £12.50, arriving in an estimated 1-3 working days.
London Same Day Delivery is available to most London postcodes as listed in our T&Cs, if ordered by 11am Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). For orders over £75 London Same Day, delivery is charged at £15. For orders under £75 London Same Day, delivery is charged at £27.50. If ordered after 11am, you will receive your order on the next working day. We may be able to organise a speedy courier for you, so please call or email us if you have special requests. What a great way to get that wine to your office or home for the evening!
Saturday Delivery costs £30. This option is available to all UK mainland postcodes for orders placed between 1pm on Thursday and 1pm on Friday. This is optional at checkout, to be chosen in place of our standard 1 – 3 working day service. If you specifically need to place an order for Saturday delivery outside of the above times, please contact us at orders@honestgrapes.co.uk and we will see if we can arrange this for you.
CLUB OFFERS
Our Club Offers may take longer to ship, as we collect all of our members’ orders together before ordering them from the winemaker. The expected delivery timelines for each product should be specified on the product page. Otherwise, please contact us for the information. INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY
International deliveries are subject to international delivery fees specific for each country, which will be added at checkout based on the country of your delivery address.
