Over the hills and far away to the Haut Cotes…. And a kaleidoscopic tasting with Laurent Delaunay at the family’s beautiful Chateau de Charmont. 28 wines tried – from Bourgogne Aligoté (absolutely outstanding – who needs Chardonnay?!?) right through to Echezeaux and Clos Vougeot, with many highlights across appellations and crus. The choice of parcels, and pragmatic approach – where every cuvée is treated individually without a set formula for quantity of new oak, or amount of whole bunches used etc, allows each wine to offer a true and deeply satisfying expression of the terroirs. Whilst the strength in Nuits Saint Georges is especially noticeable, there are some absolute gems throughout – and the consistent balance of succulence and focus, sweetness and salinity, authenticity and sophistication shows that there are great things ahead for Maison Delaunay. "From old vines, just under 1er Cru. Laurent thinks this is highly under rated wine and thus great value and I’d agree. A lightly resinous nose, and cedary, with deep red fruits – red currant, red plum and red cherry. This is not the simple, pretty nose of a typical Savigny, there is a damp earth, and spicy, arboreal complexity here. Old vine power and depth on the palate, with some more cedary, woodland characters, and dryly rich tannins. Not to be overlooked." Tom Harrow, Wine Guru

These lovely wines and gifts are stored in our cellar in Clapham, ready for immediate dispatch (and drinking)! If we have less than 12 bottles, the display will show the number available today. If you’d like more than the number shown, or it’s shown as ‘Out of Stock’ / ‘Email to order’, just call us or drop us an email to confirm your order and delivery schedule, as our winemakers send us fresh stocks frequently.
Fast Delivery takes 1-3 working days and costs £12.50 for orders under £75. Orders over £75 are subject to Fast & FREE Delivery.
Same Day Delivery London is available to most London postcodes as listed in our T&Cs, if ordered by 11am Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). For orders over £75 London Same Day, delivery is charged at £15. For orders under £75 London Same Day, delivery is charged at £27.50. If ordered after 11am, you will receive your order on the next working day. We may be able to organise a speedy courier for you, so please call or email us if you have special requests. What a great way to get that wine to your office or home for the evening!
Saturday Delivery costs £30. This option is available to all UK mainland postcodes for orders placed between 1pm on Thursday and 1pm on Friday. This is optional at checkout, to be chosen in place of our standard 1 – 3 working day service. If you specifically need to place an order for Saturday delivery outside of the above times, please contact us at orders@honestgrapes.co.uk and we will see if we can arrange this for you.
CLUB OFFERS
Our Club Offers may take longer to ship, as we collect all of our members’ orders together before ordering them from the winemaker. The expected delivery timelines for each product should be specified on the product page. Otherwise, please contact us for the information. INTERNATIONAL DELIVERY
International deliveries are subject to international delivery fees specific for each country, which will be added at checkout based on the country of your delivery address.
