A new vintage of Bordeaux will always bring a flurry of excitement and a story to tell. Often in challenging years the narrative is set by a simple new grabbing headline that although important doesn’t in reality define the vintage - yet the headline will stick, especially when overshadowed by a spectacular vintage either side of it. Given the various reports we are getting with winemakers and critics highlighting similarities to the 1996, 2001 and 2014 vintages, we thought it would make a fascinating tasting to see how these vintages were evolving and to show that we shouldn’t necessarily write off an entire vintage based on the the headlines.

So... we have scurried around the cellars, managed to unearth a selection of gems from across the vintages and curated an impressive tasting of 6 wines for you, virtually so that you don’t have to leave your own home to join us. The tasting will be hosted by our buyer Nick, our sales director James and our MD Nathan – who all recently visited Bordeaux to taste the 2021 vintage.
