Session 1: The Whites
We head back to basics in Session 1 of Taste Lab Live and will take you through the holy trinity of white wine: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling. You’ll learn about the four Ss of wine tasting (“see it, sniff it, slurp it, savour it!”) and apply it to three wonderful white wines from France and Germany with a keen eye for the different styles of the wines.
Clemens Busch Riesling Trocken, 2018
Château de la Presle, Sauvignon de Touraine, 2019
Session 2: Wine Tasting 101 – The Reds
Having got to grips with the whites last week, in Session 2 we’ll round off the Wine Tasting 101 with three classic red varietals: Merlot, Sangiovese and Pinot Noir. Building off from what you learned in the previous session, this time you’ll also look at differences between New World and Old World wines by comparing two gems from France and Italy with a classic Californian Pinot.
