All Reds Collection
A case full of classy reds from around the world.
Château Lapinesse Graves Rouge, 2019: "A blend of 60 per cent Merlot and 40 per cent Cabernet Sauvignon aged in stainless steel for 12 months to retain freshness. It’s surprisingly pale in colour and light in the mouth but has fine, subtle blackberry/blackcurrant fruit that grows and then lingers teasingly long after you swallow." Jonathan Ray, Spectator Wine Club.
La Giaretta Valpolicella Volpare, 2019: Look no further than this for the ultimate in crunchy red fruits and supple Summer berries.
Moulin de Gassac Tèrra Rouge, 2020: "The 2020 Moulin de Gassac Tèrra Red – part of the estate’s organic range – is made from Syrah, Grenache and Carignan. It’s full of concentrated dark fruit and boasts that trademark Gassac freshness along with suggestions of herbs and spice." Jonathan Ray, The Spectator
Domaine Yves Leccia YL Red, IGP Corse, 2019: "Ripe raspberry and salvia-leaf nose. This reminds me, in a wild, island, windswept way, of Pinot Noir. Silk-slip tannin elegance. A little wildness, a touch of kalamata olive, a little sweetness that is almost grapey, cola, in character. And there is freshly grated nutmeg. And crushed bay leaf. Complex and compelling. Little stories folded into each mouthful, is what I sense. (TC)" 16.5 pts, Jancis Robinson
Kalfu Sumpai Pinot Noir, Leyda Valley, Chile 2016: "Red cherries, cloves and spices are the predominant factor on the nose here. The palate is electrified with vibrant acidity, firm, structured tannins and a long finish..." 93 pts, James Suckling
Castello Romitorio Romitòro 2019: Romitòro is an elegant blend of Syrah and Petit Verdot that expresses the benefits of a moderate climate such as Tuscany’s, where vines grow naturally without needing irrigation and yield an excellent quantity and quality of fruit.
