Château Pesquié Terrasses Rouge
"A year in year out now-brainer"
- Rhône, France
"Easily one of my favourite estates from the up-and-coming Ventoux region, Chateau Pesquie is run by the talented brothers, Alexandre & Frederic Chaudiere. The wines sell for a song, yet always deliver high-quality, loads of character and impeccably made profiles." Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com
The history of Château Pesquié is the story of a family passionate about the Ventoux region. They recognized the outstanding potential of a region where vines had been cultivated for more than thousand years. The Chaudiere Family have dedicated themselves to gain maximum expression from the unique terroir of Ventoux. Pioneers in many ways, the three generations of winemakers from the family have always tried to share a long term vision: an agriculture of high quality has to be sustainable and responsible.
"A year in year out no-brainer is the Terrasses cuvee from this estate, and the 2016 Ventoux Terrasses is no exception. It offers a terrific perfume of black cherries, wild herbs, dried flowers and spice. This gives way to a plum, sexy and beautifully textured red that has surprising minerality, medium-bodied depth and richness and fine tannin." 91/100 Jeb Dunnuck
"The 2016 Ventoux Terrasses delivers what longtime admirers have come to expect from the estate: ample fruit, compelxity, weight and charm..." 90/100 Wine Advocate
