Château Trébiac Rouge
A complex range of spice, juicy plums and cherry fruit with a touch of seductive cassis
- Bordeaux, France
Château Trébiac shows a complex range of spice, juicy plums and cherry fruit with a touch of seductive cassis. On the palate it’s smooth, soft and really well rounded with good weight and a delicious, long finish.
We showed this wine at one of our Premier Crew panel tastings and it was a clear winner of its price bracket, so it is certainly a popular choice amongst some pretty tough competition – this is great value drinking Bordeaux, which shows the very drinkable Graves region at its finest.
"Dry but also fruity, this wine that will soon be delicious comes from vineyards once owned by Franciscan nuns and maintained by the de Butler family. When the balance kicks in, the acidity and the bright spicy character will go well with the black-currant fruits." 90 points, Wine Enthusiast
"Trebiac 2017 got a lovely core of dark fruit (blackberry, blackcurrant, black plums), cedar and a nice spicy character which adds complexity. Exceptionally balanced with bright acidity along with fine tannins and a medium finish all result in a mighty fine sip!" Angus, Wine Guru
