Corvus Ala Negra Malbec Reserva
Big but balanced lip-smacking Malbec
- Mendoza, Argentina
This is a fabulous, lip-smacking Malbec, part of a new range of boutique Argentine wines. Made from 80-year-old vines, then oak and bottle-aged, it has a dark-fruit intensity and a long, spicy finish with vanilla and chocolate undertones. A seriously big, but balanced mouthful. Drink with rare fillet steak, venison or any seasonal game.
It was made from 100% Malbec grapes, grown at an altitude of 970 metres. The wine was aged for 15 months in first-use French oak barrels. Then bottle aged for another 10 months providing it with sufficient time to develop a maximum degree of varietal expression and a harmonious structure.
