Henschke are one of the best producers in South Eastern Australia and their Hill of Grace battles it out with the mighty Penfolds Grange for Australia’s most profound wine (although of varying styles!). Organic and Bio-dynamic their Riesling comes from vines in the Eden Valley which date back to the 1960s and is named after one of their ancestors Julius Henschke who was a highly talented artist.
"This is seriously zesty with notes of lemons, grapefruit, lime (traditional note in Eden Valley Riesling’s), crunchy green apple, peach and white currants. On the palate, there is riper lime and currant notes along with an electrifying acidity and a very long finish. I love the balance between fruit and acidity here, it really is fantastic." "100% Riesling from vines planted in the 1960s by Stephen Henschke’s father and named after his musical and artistic great-uncle. 500 m above sea level, in the centre of Eden Valley, on sandy loam over gravel and bedrock with patches of clay. Biodynamic cultivation. pH 2.98, acidity 6.98 g/l. Picked from mid to end of March. Fermented in tank. '17 was an awesome vintage, out of the box, like 2002.' Richly floral lemon and frangipani aroma. Has real power – is this from those 60-year-old vines? Minerally, steely core, fierce and fine. Crystalline citrus. White currants. These lovely wines and gifts are stored in our cellar in Clapham, ready for immediate dispatch (and drinking)! If we have less than 12 bottles, the display will show the number available today. If you’d like more than the number shown, or it’s shown as ‘Out of Stock’ / ‘Email to order’, just call us or drop us an email to confirm your order and delivery schedule, as our winemakers send us fresh stocks frequently.
Standard Delivery takes 2-3 working days and costs £7.50 for orders under £75. Orders over £75 are subject to FREE Standard Delivery. Standard and Express Delivery is available for most mainland UK postcodes as listed in our T&Cs.
Express Delivery costs £12.50. Express delivery orders over £75 are £5.
For Express Delivery (next working day) orders need to be placed before 1pm. Orders placed after 1pm will be received after two business days. Orders placed for next day delivery after 1pm on a Thursday will be delivered on Monday. Orders placed on a Bank Holiday will similarly be processed the day after the Bank Holiday and delivered the following day.
Same Day Delivery costs £20. This option is available to most London postcodes as listed in our T&Cs, if ordered by 1pm Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). If ordered after 1pm, you will receive your order on the next working day. We may be able to organise a speedy courier for you, so please call or email us if you have special requests. What a great way to get that wine to your office or home for the evening!
Our Club Offers may take longer to ship, as we collect all of our members’ orders together before ordering them from the winemaker. The expected delivery timelines for each product should be specified on the product page. Otherwise, please contact us for the information. Deliveries for the wines on our Grower List cost £25, and can take 2-3 weeks. Please let us know if you have an urgent request and we’ll do our best to help.
International deliveries are subject to international delivery fees specific for each country, which will be added at checkout based on the country of your delivery address.
