Jane Eyre Côte de Nuits

The palate is well balanced with a fleshy opening brimming with red pastille-like fruit
- Burgundy, France
Melbourne-born Jane Eyre-Renard, having got the wine bug, worked the vintage in Burgundy before studying winemaking at Charles Sturt University, and then completing stages at Cullen in Margaret River, and Felton Road in New Zealand. She came back to Europe in 2003 and worked 3 months for Ernie Loosen in the Mosel before getting a job in Burgundy with Domaine des Comtes Lafon in January 2004.
"I had the pleasure of meeting Jane for the first time a few summers ago whilst staying with a mutual friend and was really impressed with her wines. The Côtes de Nuits Village could well be my new house Burgundy..."
Tom Harrow, Honest Grapes Wine Director
"Jane only has two-and-a-half barrels of her 2016 Côte de Nuits Villages, whose fruit is sourced from Comblanchien. The bouquet is very attractive with crisp blackberry and raspberry fruit that has a nice spring in its step. The palate is well balanced with a fleshy opening brimming with red pastille-like fruit and an easygoing finish..." Neal Martin, Wine Advocate
